The Nordstrom Tower at 217 West 57th Street is a supertall mixed-use commercial/residential project with a 233-unit residential condominium and hotel hybrid being developed by Extell Development Company in Midtown Manhattan. The building will rise 1,522 feet to its roof, and 1,550 ft to the tip. Upon completion, Central Park Tower will become the 2nd tallest building in the city, and in the country. Soaring 104 stories the Nordstrom Tower will have units ranging in size from a 564-square-foot studios to a triplex penthouse spanning more than 17,800 square feet. The plans also include 18 full-floor condos measuring 7,073 square feet, as well as two duplex units spanning 12,580 square feet and 11,481 square feet.
The building will be the tallest by roof height in the United States, surpassing the Willis Tower, and the tallest residential building in the world both by roof height and architectural height, surpassing 432 Park Avenue. The building is also notable for its former proposed architectural height of 1,775 feet, one foot shorter than the symbolic 1,776-foot height of One World Trade Center, as well as proposed at 1,795 feet.
